CHERRY MUFFINS


There is no harm in trying, you might not be an expert but each practice makes you perfect.
Ingredients
  •   ¼ cup sugar
  •   ½ teaspoon salt
  •   1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup pitted fresh cherries or drained frozen cherries
  • 1 egg
  • ¾ cup milk
  • ¼ cup melted butter or margarine
Sift together sugar, salt, baking powder and flour. Add cherries and blend well. Beat egg until thick and lemon- coloured. Add milk and melted butter and quickly stir into first mixture. Pour into buttered muffins tins. Bake in preheated moderate oven (375o F) for 25-30mins.
