DESIGNER SHOW: HOUSE OF NWOCHA

Today's series on designer show, is on House of Nwocha. 
Hse of Nwocha is a label, agency, and brand that creates an elegant and sophisticated wears, thereby catering to fashion forward women who love to look good. At Hse of NWOCHA there is a selection of styles divided into two groups;The casual wear for everyday, weekends and cocktails while the other is the couture line for dinners, awards and events. Their clothes are very elegant, sexy, practical and youthful while being feminine and unique.
House of Nwocha, has participated in several events and shows and has showcased its creativity on different platforms locally and internationally, most recent being the Washington DC Fashion Week (DCFW), Arise Magazine Fashion Week (AMFW) and the African Fashion Week London (AFWL) just to name a few.

These edgy collection flows from a more formal aesthetic with long embellished dresses presented in pink with black accents to a younger, flirtier look with a multicolour print fabric morphed into various pieces including a jacket, tailored trousers and a caped floor length dress.

Hse of Nwocha Fall 2012 collection 'YOSHINAKA' .
Capturing the exceptional beauty, charm and bravery of "Yoshinaka" "presents Yoshinaka in modern times. A strong almost goth woman, not afraid of her body and its magic." says Creative Director, Ugonna Omeruo. The collection features soft black velvet, black spiral french lace,sheer panels, studs, feathers, and a rich golden french sequence lace which are used to create a spiked mini dresses, long evening dresses, bootleg cut trousers and cropped tops.

Celebrities and Socialites spotted in HON include Rita Dominic, Stephanie Linus, Eunice Ofodile, Omowunmi Akinifesi, Waje, Munachi Abe, Eva Alordiah, just to name a few. Hse of Nwocha has been nominated for several awards.

Behind these intricate designs of the Hse of Nwocha, is the creative director Ugonna Omeruo. She loves bright colours and describes herself as someone that is not afraid to try new things. She sees herself as a walking mannequin for her work .In 2011 she was awarded Hottest New Designer of the year (female) by city people fashion and beauty awards Nigeria.     
She rocks her outfits well on red carpets and you can call her a fashionista, afterall she creates pretty wears.
